How To Protect Your Family In The Event of Untimely Death

How To Protect Your Family

On Monday October 26, 2020, AfricaX hosted three professionals. We discussed options and strategies to protect our families in the event of our untimely passing. The webinar was a free, virtual event and it proved to be very interesting and informative. This article will share some nuggets from the how to protect your family webinar.

Key Highlights

The panelists highlighted the following things;

  1. Will, Enduring Power of Attorney and Personal Directive are necessary documents to protect our families.
  2. Sufficient life insurance is a necessity not a nice to have. Sufficient life insurance considers debt repayment and income replacement
  3. Funeral pre-planning is a must. This includes planning the event, securing the resources required for the event and providing the information necessary. This is very important as having to prepare for burial while dealing with grief can be a tall order.

In addition to this, Amina Muhammad provided a quick win to attendees which can be found at 1:13:01 mark in the recording. If you missed the webinar or will like to relive it, you can now watch the recording of the webinar below or on our Youtube Channel.
